Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah informed us: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan informed us: Abdullah ibn Ahmad related to us: Ahmad ibn Ibrahim related to me: Ali ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ related to me: Bishr ibn al-Harith related to me ⦗288⦘: I asked Abdullah ibn Dawud about the Quran, and he replied, “The Almighty, the Compeller”—can this be created?
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ , حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ ⦗٢٨٨⦘: سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ دَاوُدَ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ , فَقَالَ: ﴿الْعَزِيزُ الْجَبَّارُ﴾ [الحشر: ٢٣] يَكُونُ هَذَا مَخْلُوقًا؟
