397 — Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hammad and Ahmad ibn Salih al-Zari‘ informed us; they said: Yusuf ibn Ya‘qub ibn Ishaq ibn Buhlul narrated to us; he said: My grandfather, Ishaq ibn Buhlul, narrated to me; he said: I asked Musa ibn Dawud about the Quran, and he said: Ma‘bad Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to me from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar al-Duhni, who said: I said to Ja‘far ibn Muhammad, “They ask us whether the Quran is created.” ⦗268⦘ He replied, “It is neither a creator nor created; rather, it is the speech of Allah.”
٣٩٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ , وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الزَّارِعُ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ بُهْلُولٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بُهْلُولٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ دَاوُدَ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ , فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَعْبَدٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ: إِنَّهُمْ يَسْأَلُونَنَا عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ مَخْلُوقٌ هُوَ؟ ⦗٢٦٨⦘ قَالَ: لَيْسَ بِخَالِقٍ وَلَا مَخْلُوقٍ , وَلَكِنَّهُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ
