392 — Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim mentioned it, saying: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Fadl al-Saydawi al-Asadi narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Salih, the client of Ja'far ibn Sulayman al-Hashimi, narrated to us; al-Fadl ibn Shadhan narrated to us; he said: Ahmad ibn Mudrik narrated to us; he said: al-Attaf ibn Qays narrated to us; he said: I asked al-Fudayl ibn Iyad about the Quran, and he replied, “The Quran is the uncreated Speech of Allah.” This is likewise what has reached us from Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani and Sulayman al-Taymi.
٣٩٢ - ذَكَرَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الصَّيْدَاوِيُّ الْأَسَدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْهَاشِمِيِّ , حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُدْرِكٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْعَطَّافُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ , فَقَالَ: «الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ» كَذَلِكَ بَلَغَنَا عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ , وَسُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ
