Ahmad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Khadr al-Mu'addal informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn Salman informed us; he said: Abdullah ibn Ahmad related to us; he said: Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn al-Husayn related to us; he said: Abbas ibn Abd al-Azim al-Anbari related to me; he said: Ruwaym the Quran reciter related to us, from Abdullah ibn Ayyash al-Washsha'. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said: “I saw Abdullah ibn Ayyash; he was our neighbor and was among the upright and trustworthy men.” From Yunus ibn Bukayr, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Ali ibn al-Husayn, who said concerning the Quran: “It is neither Creator nor created; rather, it is the speech of Allah, Exalted is He.”
Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: It reached me that this Abdullah ibn Ayyash was ⦗264⦘ Abu Yahya ibn Abdullah al-Khazzaz, from whom Abu Kurayb transmitted many hadiths.
