387—Muhammad ibn Rizq Allah informed us; he said: Uthman ibn Ahmad informed us; he said: Ishaq ibn Sunayn related to us; he said: Ruwaym ibn Yazid related to us; he said: Abdullah ibn Ayyash al-Khazzaz related to us, from Yunus ibn Bukayr, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, who said:

Ali ibn al-Husayn was asked about the Quran, and he replied, “It is neither Creator nor created; rather, it is the speech of Allah, Exalted is He.”
