353—Abd al-Rahman mentioned it: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Fadl al-Asadi narrated to us: I heard Ishaq ibn Dawud al-Sharani mention that he presented Muhammad ibn Aslam with the words of a man who had spoken concerning the Quran. Muhammad ibn Aslam said: “As for the names of Allah that he mentioned, all of them are His names. Thus, when a person says, ‘We worship Allah,’ he means the name and the meaning as one and the same; he is affirming Allah’s oneness.”
