351—Ahmad ibn Muhammad informed us: Umar ibn Ahmad al-Marwazi informed us: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Baghandi narrated to us: Ibrahim ibn Hani narrated to us, saying: I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal—while he was in hiding at my home ⦗240⦘—and I asked him about the Quran. He replied: “Whoever claims that the names of Allah are created is a disbeliever.”
٣٥١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَاغَنْدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ , وَهُوَ مُخْتَفٍ عِنْدِي , ⦗٢٤٠⦘ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ فَقَالَ: مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ اللَّهِ مَخْلُوقَةٌ فَهُوَ كَافِرٌ
