346—Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi informed us: Habshun ibn Musa narrated to us: Hafs ibn Umar narrated to us, saying: I heard Abu Saʿid al-Asmaʿi—
347—And Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Jawhari informed us: al-Husayn ibn Idris al-Qafalani narrated to us: Hafs ibn Umar al-Sayyari narrated to us, saying: I heard Abu Saʿid al-Asmaʿi say: “If you hear him say, ‘The name is other than the thing named,’ then judge—or, he said, testify—against him that he is a heretic.” Their wording is identical.
٣٤٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْفَارِسِيُّ قَالَ , حَدَّثَنَا حَبْشُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْأَصْمَعِيَّ , ح.
٣٤٧ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْقَافَلَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ السَّيَّارِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْأَصْمَعِيَّ يَقُولُ: إِذَا سَمِعْتَهُ يَقُولُ: الِاسْمُ غَيْرُ الْمُسَمَّى , فَاحْكُمْ أَوْ قَالَ فَاشْهَدْ عَلَيْهِ بِالزَّنْدَقَةِ. لَفْظُهُمَا سَوَاءٌ
