ʿUbayd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us: al-Husayn ibn Ismaʿil informed us: Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us: Jarir narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Minhal, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbas, who said:

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would seek Allah’s protection for Hasan and Husayn, saying: “I seek protection for you both in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, every harmful creature, and every evil eye.” He would also say: “This is how your father used to seek protection for Ishmael and Isaac.”

Al-Bukhari transmitted it.
