305—Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Maymun al-Nahrasabusi informed us there. He said: Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khatib al-Nahrasabusi informed us there. He said: Abu Ja‘far ibn Abi al-Dumayk related to us. He said: I heard Bishr ibn al-Walid al-Kindi say: I heard Abu Yusuf say: “Whoever seeks wealth through alchemy will become destitute, and whoever seeks religious truth through speculative theology will fall into heresy.”
٣٠٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ النَّهْرَسَابُسِيُّ بِهَا , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْخَطِيبُ النَّهْرَسَابُسِيُّ بِهَا قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ أَبِي الدُّمَيْكِ , قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ بِشْرَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا يُوسُفَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ طَلَبَ الْمَالَ بِالْكِيمِيَاءِ أَفْلَسَ , وَمَنْ طَلَبَ الدِّينَ بِالْكَلَامِ تَزَنْدَقَ»
