278—Al-Hasan informed us; Ahmad ibn al-Hasan ibn Yunus informed us; he said: Muhammad ibn Uthman narrated to us; he said: Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us; he said: Mindal narrated to us, from Musa ibn Ubaydah, from Sulayman ibn Muslim, from al-Hasan al-Basri, who said: “There are three people whose backbiting is not inviolable: one of them is an adherent of religious innovation who is excessive in his innovation.”
