274—Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn Hamdan informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn al-Husayn narrated to us; he said: Abd al-Samad narrated to us; he said: Abdullah ibn Umar al-Sarakhsī, the scholar of the Khazars, narrated to us:

“I once ate ⦗158⦘ a meal at the home of an adherent of religious innovation. When Ibn al-Mubarak learned of this, he said, ‘I will not speak to him for thirty days.’”
