2818 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn Aḥmad al-Ṭabarī reported to us. He said: al-Ḥusayn ibn Ṭāhir narrated to us. He said: Shaykh ibn Ḥātim related: ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us from al-Naḍr ibn Shumayl ⦗1547⦘. He said: I heard al-Maʾmūn say, “Qadarism is the creed of the Khūz, Rafidism the creed of the Nabataeans, and Murjiʾism the creed of kings.”
