2806 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān informed us; ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Baghawī informed us; he said: Sūwayd ibn Saʿīd narrated to us; he said: Marwān ibn Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from Ḥammād ibn Kaysān, from his father—who had in his household a slave-concubine that had belonged to ʿAlī—who said: I heard ʿAlī say, “Toward the end of time there will appear a people who bear a nickname; they will be called the Rāfiḍah. They repudiate Islam, so kill them, for they are polytheists.”
