I also found, in the handwriting of Abū al-Ḥasan Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Muslim—the father of Abū Aḥmad and Abū Ṭāhir—the following chain of transmission:
Abū al-Qāsim Bukayr ibn Muḥammad, whose personal name was ʿAbd Allah, narrated to us; Abū Aḥmad al-Faradī—may Allah have mercy on him—narrated to us; he said: Abū Bakr Aḥmad ibn ʿImrān al-ʿAskarī related to us; he said: Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn Khalīl al-ʿAnazī told us:
“I was sitting with a group of scribes when they began to vilify Muʿāwiya ibn Abī Sufyān (may Allah be pleased with him). I stood up, angered by their words. That night I saw the Prophet ﷺ in my dream, and he said to me, ‘Do you know the rank that Umm Ḥabība holds with me?’ I answered, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah.’ He then said, ‘Whoever angers her over her brother has angered me.’”
