2778 – ʿAlī ibn ʿUmar narrated to us. He said: Ismāʿīl ibn Muḥammad narrated to us. He said: ʿAbbās ibn Muḥammad narrated to us. He said: Abū Mushir narrated to us. He said: Saʿīd, from Rabīʿah ibn Yazīd, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ⦗1528⦘ Abī ʿAmīrah al-Muzanī—Saʿīd added, “He was one of the Prophet’s Companions ﷺ”—reported that the Prophet ﷺ said concerning Muʿāwiyah: “O Allah, make him a guide who is himself rightly guided; guide him and guide others through him.”
