2771 – ʿĪsā ibn ʿAlī narrated to us. He said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated to us. He said: Muṣʿab ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us. He said: Mālik ibn Anas narrated to us, from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from Anas, who said: ḥ.
2772 – And Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us. He said: al-Walīd narrated to us. He said: Mālik narrated to us, from Isḥāq, from Anas, who said:
Whenever the Messenger of Allah—Allah bless him and grant him peace—went to Qubāʾ, he would visit Umm Ḥarām bint Milḥān. Umm Ḥarām was the wife of ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit, and she would offer him food. One day he entered, she fed him, and the Messenger of Allah—Allah bless him and grant him peace—lay down and slept. He awoke smiling, so she asked, “What makes you laugh, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “A group of my community has just been shown to me—warriors in the path of Allah riding upon the surface of this sea, kings upon thrones,” or he said, “like kings upon thrones”; Isḥāq was unsure. She said, “O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He include me among them.” He said, “You will be among the first.” During the era of Muʿāwiyah she set sail, fell from her mount as she disembarked from the sea, and died.
It was recorded by al-Bukhārī and Muslim.
