2759 – ʿAli ibn Ahmad ibn Yaʿqub narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim narrated to us; he said: ʿAmr ibn ʿUbayd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us; he said: Abu Muʿawiyah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, who said: “I have never seen any woman more knowledgeable in medicine, jurisprudence, or poetry than ʿAʾishah ⦗1521⦘.”
