2753 – ʿIsa ibn ʿAli narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi ⦗1513⦘ narrated to us; he said: Dawud ibn ʿAmr narrated to us; Nafiʿ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: ʿAʾishah stated, “The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—passed away on the day allotted to me, in my house, while his head lay between my chest and my neck, and Allah caused my saliva to mingle with his.” This report is recorded by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
