2732 – Aḥmad ibn al-Faraj narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Rabīʿ narrated to us; he said: Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān narrated to us; he said: Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī al-Juʿfī narrated to us, from Zāʾidah, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith, from al-ʿAbbās, who said:

“I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me something by which I may ask my Lord.’ He replied, ‘O ʿAbbās, uncle of the Messenger of Allah, ask Allah for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.’”
