2715 – ʿIsa ibn ʿAli related to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi narrated to us; he said: Hudbah ibn Khalid told us; he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated, from Thabit, from Anas:

When the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—they said, “Send with us someone who will teach us.” He therefore sent with them Abu ʿUbaydah ibn al-Jarrah, and said, “This is the trustworthy one of this ummah.”
