261—Al-Hasan informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn Hamdan informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn al-Husayn related to us. He said: Abd al-Samad related to us. He said: I heard al-Fudayl ibn Iyad say:
“Whoever comes to a man for counsel, and he directs him to an innovator, has betrayed Islam. Beware of visiting adherents of religious innovation, for they turn people away from the truth.”
٢٦١ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَشَاوَرَهُ فَدَلَّهُ عَلَى مُبْتَدَعٍ فَقَدْ غَشَّ الْإِسْلَامَ , وَاحْذَرُوا الدُّخُولَ عَلَى صَاحِبِ الْبِدَعِ؛ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْحَقِّ»
