- ʿAli ibn ʿUmar al-Tammār related to us; he said: Ismaʿil ibn Muhammad narrated to us; he said: ʿAbbas ibn Muhammad narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us; he said: Sufyan told me, from Yahya ibn Saʿid, who said: ʿAli ibn al-Husayn said: “People of Iraq, love us with the love that Islam enjoins. By Allah, your love for us has not ceased until it has become a blemish upon us.”
٢٦٨٣ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ التَّمَّارُ، قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: نا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ: قَالَ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ: يَا أَهْلَ الْعِرَاقِ أَحِبُّونَا حُبَّ الْإِسْلَامِ، فَوَاللَّهِ إِنْ زَالَ بِنَا حُبُّكُمْ حَتَّى صَارَ عَلَيْنَا شَيْنًا
