- ʿAli ibn ʿUmar related to us; he said: Mukram ibn Ahmad related to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Karim ibn al-Haytham related to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Saʿid related to us; he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Saʿid, from ʿAli ibn Husayn, who said: “O people of Iraq, love us with the love that Islam teaches, for—by Allah—your love for us has lasted until it has become a blemish.”
٢٦٨٢ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ، نا مُكْرَمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: نا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، يَقُولُ: يَا أَهْلَ الْعِرَاقِ، أَحِبُّونَا حُبَّ الْإِسْلَامِ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا زَالَ حُبُّكُمْ بِنَا حَتَّى صَارَ شَيْنًا
