2644 – Mahdī ibn Muḥammad al-Naysābūrī related to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Azhar Aḥmad ibn al-Azhar narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from Ibn ʿAbbās—that the Prophet ﷺ looked at ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib and said: “You are a leader in this world and a leader in the Hereafter. Whoever loves you has loved me, and whoever is beloved to me is beloved by Allah. Whoever hates you has hated me, and whoever is hated by me is hated by Allah. So woe to anyone who hates you after I am gone.”
