2628 – ʿAli ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa related to us; he said: ʿAli ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Misri related to us; Abu Zayd ʿAbd al-Rahim ibn Hatim al-Muradi said: “This poem is by Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Khaliq.” He said:
[in the rajaz metre]
They are his two companions, sharing the same grave,
The noblest of all who ever stood facing his qiblah.
After he departed, they led the prayer for his community,
And, after him, they fulfilled every pledge on his behalf.
In judgment, they walked the straight path of his way.
٢٦٢٨ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى، قَالَ: أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، قَالَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُرَادِيُّ هَذَا الشِّعْرَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ قَالَ:
[البحر الرجز]
هُمَا ضَجِيعَاهُ مَعًا فِي حُفْرَتِهْ ... وَخَيْرُ مَنْ قَامَ لَهُ مِنْ قِبْلَتِهْ
وَصَلَّيَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لِأُمَّتِهْ ... وَوَفَّيَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِذِمَّتِهْ
وَسَلَكَا فِي الْحُكْمِ قَصْدَ سِيْرَتِهْ
