2620 – I, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Jarraḥ, relate: Ibrahim ibn Hammad and ʿUmar ibn Muhammad al-Sāji both narrated to us; they said: Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad al-Ṣāʾigh narrated to us; he said: Khālid ibn Khidāsh narrated to us; he said: Ḥammād ibn Zayd said to me, “If you claim that ʿAli is superior to ʿUthmān, then you are alleging that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah have acted treacherously.”
