2611 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Sahl related to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Hasan narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Najiyah narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn Yunus al-Zayyāt narrated to us; Salam ibn Sulayman narrated to us; he said: Sawadah ibn Salamah ibn Nubayt narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Juhaifah, who said ⦗1450⦘: “The sunna has affirmed the superiority of Abu Bakr, while the love for ʿAli reached the hearts before all others.”
