2597 – Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Hārūn al-Ruyānī narrated to us; he said: Abū Kurayb related to us; he said: Ibn al-Mubārak, from Ibn Lahīʿah, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb, reported: “It has reached me that the party who set out against ʿUthmān—most of them lost their minds.”
