2586 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Juʿfī related to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Hārūn al-Ḥimyarī narrated to us; he said: Abū Kurayb narrated to us; he said: Ibn Idrīs narrated to us; he said: Layth, from Ziyād ibn Abī Malīḥ, from his father, who said: Ibn ʿAbbās said: “Had all the people banded together to kill ʿUthmān, they would have been pelted with stones just as the people of Lot were pelted.”
