2557 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Sahl informed us; Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Bishr, the brother of Khattab, narrated to us. He said: Khalid ibn Khidash narrated to us. He said: I heard Hammad ibn Zayd say, “If you put ʿAli ahead of ʿUthman, you are in fact claiming that the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ betrayed their trust.”
