2504 – ‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yaʿqub said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Istirabadhi related to us, saying: al-Hasan ibn Mukram narrated to us, saying: ‘Uthman ibn ‘Umar narrated to us; Fulayh, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “How excellent a man for you is Abu Bakr, and how excellent a man is ‘Umar.”
٢٥٠٤ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْإِسْتِرَابَاذِيُّ، قَالَ: نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، قَالَ: نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أنا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ لَكُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَنِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ عُمَرُ»
