240—Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us. He said: Ahmad ibn Abdullah ibn Yunus narrated to us. He said: Za'idah ibn Qudamah narrated to us, from Hisham, who said:
Al-Hasan used to say: “Do not sit with the people of whims and desires, do not debate with them, and do not listen to them.”
٢٤٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ , عَنْ هِشَامٍ , قَالَ: كَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ: «لَا تُجَالِسُوا أَهْلَ الْأَهْوَاءِ , وَلَا تُجَادِلُوهُمْ , وَلَا تَسْمَعُوا مِنْهُمْ»
