2480 – Muhammad ibn al-Ḥusayn al-Fārisi reported to us; he said: Ahmad ibn Saʿīd al-Thaqafī reported to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Yaḥyā al-Dhuhli narrated to us; he said: Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us; [he said:] my father narrated to us, from Ṣāliḥ, from Ibn Shihāb, who said: Saʿīd told me that Abū Hurayrah said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “While I was asleep I saw myself drawing water from a well. I drew from it as much as Allah willed. Then the son of Abū Quḥāfah drew one or two bucketfuls, and in his drawing there was some weakness—may Allah forgive him. Then Ibn al-Khaṭṭāb took hold of it, and it turned into a vast waterskin; I have never seen anyone of exceptional strength draw as he drew, until the people had fully watered their animals and rested at the trough.” ⦗1387⦘
