2415 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-ʿAbbās told us; he said: Aḥmad ibn ʿĪsā ibn al-Miskīn al-Baladī narrated to us; he said: Isḥāq ibn Zurayq ibn Sulaymān al-Rasʿanī narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Ibrāhīm al-Juddi related to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ṭāʾifī narrated to me; he said: al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Ayman told me; he said: ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUrwah reported, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah, who said:
I once boasted about my father’s wealth in the pre-Islamic era; it had reached a million uqiyyahs. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Ask of me, O ʿĀʾishah, for I have been to you like Abū Zarʿ.”
