2388 – Ahmad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Hasan related to us; he said: ʿUthman ibn Ahmad narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Yunus narrated to us; he said: Sahl ibn ʿUthman al-ʿAskari said, “I heard ʿAmr ibn Abi al-Miqdad say: I heard Abu Ishaq al-Hamadhani say, ‘Reviling Abu Bakr and ʿUmar counts among the major sins about which Allah, Most High, has said ⦗1342⦘: “If you avoid the major sins you are forbidden, We shall pardon your lesser misdeeds and admit you to an honourable entrance” (al-Nisaʾ 31).’”}
