2357 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn al-Muẓaffar informed us; he said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rūḥ narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn Qutaybah narrated to us; he said: ʿUmar ibn Maṣqalah al-ʿAbdī, the brother of Ruqbāh ibn Maṣqalah, narrated from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿUmayr, from Ribʿī ibn Ḥirāsh, who said:

“The one who slanders a chaste woman demolishes the deeds of sixty years, and reviling Abū Bakr likewise demolishes the deeds of sixty years.”
