2356 – Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yaʿqūb informed us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Hārūn al-Ruyānī narrated to us; he said: Abū Kuraib narrated to us; he said: Muʿāwiyah ibn Hishām narrated to us, from ʿImrān ibn Anas, from Ibn Abī Mulaykah, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ⦗1326⦘ said, “The gravest form of usury in Allah’s sight is violating the honor of a Muslim.” He then recited: “And those who hurt believing men and believing women without their having earned it shall bear the guilt of slander and a manifest sin.” (al-Ahzāb 58)
