2351 – al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr informed us; he said: Yaḥyā ibn Jaʿfar informed us; he said: ʿAlī ibn ʿĀṣim informed us; he said: Abū Qaḥdhum reported; he said: ⦗1324⦘ Abū Qilābah related to me, from Ibn Masʿūd, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When the matter of qadar (divine decree) is mentioned, hold back, and when my Companions are mentioned, hold back.”
