2349 – Al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad al-Makhzūmī, ʿAbd al-Salām ibn ʿAlī, and ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar informed us; they said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Ziyād al-Naysābūrī related to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Ḥarb narrated to us; he said: Abū Muʿāwiyah, from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, reported that she said, “They were instructed to seek forgiveness for the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ, yet they chose instead to revile them.” Muslim recorded it.
