2337. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Yaḥyā informed us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah narrated to us; he said: Salm ibn Sālim al-Balkhī narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Zayd al-ʿAmmī, from his father, who said:

I met forty individuals from the Followers (tābiʿīn); each one would transmit to us from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever loves all of my Companions, shows loyalty to them, and prays for their forgiveness, Allah will place him with them in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.”
