- Al-Faḍl ibn Jaʿfar ibn Zanjalah al-Iṣfahānī informed us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Jaʿfar ibn Burqān narrated to us; he said: Hārūn ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Zayd, from his father, from Ibn ʿUmar, reported:
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “Do not mention the faults of my Companions, lest your hearts become divided concerning them. Instead, recall the virtues of my Companions so that your hearts may be in harmony regarding them.”
٢٣٣٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زَنْجَلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، قَالَ: نا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَا تَذْكُرُوا مَسَاوِئَ أَصْحَابِي فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَاذْكُرُوا مَحَاسِنَ أَصْحَابِي حَتَّى تَأْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ»
