- ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zādhān al-Qazwīnī informed us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Salamah narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Idrīs narrated to us; he said: ʿImrān ibn Mūsā al-Ṭarsawī narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn Yazīd narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Muqātil al-ʿAbbādānī, from Ḥammād ibn Salamah, who said: ʿAyūb al-Sakhtiyānī stated, “Whoever loves Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq has upheld the faith; whoever loves ʿUmar has made the path clear; whoever loves ʿUthmān has been illumined by the light of the religion; whoever loves ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib has grasped the firmest handhold; and whoever speaks well of the Companions of Muḥammad ﷺ has been cleared of hypocrisy.”
٢٣٣٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ، قَالَ: نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، قَالَ: نا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى الطَّرْسَويُّ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ: مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ فَقَدْ أَقَامَ الدِّينَ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ عُمَرَ فَقَدْ أَوْضَحَ السَّبِيلَ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ عُثْمَانَ فَقَدِ اسْتَنَارَ بِنُورِ الدِّينِ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالعُرْوَةَ الْوُثْقَى، وَمَنْ قَالَ الْحُسْنَى فِي أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ "
