2300 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān informed us; he said: Yaḥyā ibn Muḥammad ibn Saʿid related to us; he said: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā related to us. And I, ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad, [also report]: al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismāʿīl informed us; he said: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā related to us; he said: Muslim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Azdi narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥārith ibn Nabḥān al-Jarmī narrated to us; he said: ʿUtbah ibn Yaqẓān, from Abū Saʿd, from Makḥūl, from Wāthilah ibn al-Asqaʿ, reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not declare the people of your own religious community unbelievers, even if they commit the gravest sins. Pray behind every imam, perform the funeral prayer for every deceased person, and wage jihad under every leader.”
In Yaḥyā’s version the narrator is named Abū Saʿīd, but the correct name is Abū Saʿd.
