2295 – Aḥmad ibn ʿUmar informed us; ʿUmar ibn Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn al-Walīd narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; he said: Shuʿbah narrated to us; he said: I heard Abū al-Tayyāḥ say: I heard Anas say that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to Abū Dharr: “Listen and obey, even if the one placed over you is an Abyssinian whose head looks like a raisin.” Muslim also recorded this ḥadīth.
