2285 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Fārisi reported to us; he said: al-Husayn ibn Ismā‘īl reported to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Ishkāb narrated to us; he said: ‘Abd al-Ṣamad ibn ‘Abd al-Wārith narrated to us; he said: Shu‘bah, from Qatādah, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “No prophet was ever sent without warning his people about the One-Eyed Liar. Indeed, he is one-eyed, whereas your Lord is not one-eyed. Between his eyes is written: kāfir (disbeliever).” Recorded by al-Bukhārī ⦗1295⦘ and Muslim.
