2270 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar and ʿUbayd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn ʿAli related to us, saying: Al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismaʿil informed us; he said: ʿAli ibn Shuʿayb narrated to us; he said: Sufyan narrated to us; he said: ʿAmr ibn Dinar heard Yazid ibn Jaʿdiyya recounting from ʿAbd al-Raḥman ibn Mikhrāq, from Abu Dharr, who traced it back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):

“Indeed, Allah created in Paradise a wind—seven years after the (first) wind—and before it stands a closed gate. Only a breath reaches you through the gaps of that gate; were it to be opened, it would scatter whatever lies between the heaven. In Allah’s sight it is called al-Azīb, while among you it is the south wind.”
