2260 – Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allah informed us; he said: Muhammad ibn Harun al-Ruwayani informed us; he said: Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; he said: Yahya ibn Saʿid narrated to us, from ʿUbayd Allah, from—ḥ.

2261 – And Kuhiyy ibn al-Hasan informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn al-Qasim informed us; Abu Hammam narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us; he said: ʿUbayd Allah narrated, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said ⦗1266⦘: “Indeed, the severity of the heat is from the scorching blast of Hell, so cool it with water.” Both al-Bukhari and Muslim recorded it in full through ʿUbayd Allah’s narration.
