2256 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim informed us; he said: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Saʿid ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman narrated to us; he said: Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah narrated from ⦗1265⦘ al-Zuhri, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ—ḥ.

2257 – ʿAbd al-Salam ibn ʿAli ibn Muhammad ibn ʿUmar and Muhammad ibn ʿUmar ibn Muhammad ibn Humayd both said: Ahmad ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Wakil narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; he said: Zayd ibn Abi al-Zarqaʾ narrated from Sufyan, from al-Aʿmash, from Dhakwan, from Abu Saʿid, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Postpone the Zuhr until it has cooled, for the extreme heat is part of the scorching blast of Hell.” The wording recorded from Abu Hurayrah says: “When the heat becomes intense, then postpone (the prayer).”
