2255 – Ahmad ibn ʿUmar ibn Muhammad related to us; ʿUmar ibn Ahmad ibn ʿAli related to us; he said: Muhammad ibn al-Walid narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated; he said: Shuʿbah said, “I heard Muhājir Abū al-Ḥasan narrate that he heard Zayd ibn Wahb narrate from Abū Dharr, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Postpone the prayer until the heat has cooled,’ or he said, ‘Wait—indeed, the extreme heat is part of the scorching blast of Hellfire.’ Both of them—that is, al-Bukhari and Muslim—recorded it through the narration of Shuʿbah.”
